We’d like to share this lovely email with you – hopefully giving you a glimpse in to how this baking concept is capturing everyone’s imagination . . . .
“Dear Friends, we met at the Tavistock Food Festival and I was so impressed with your cake that I bought some boxes to make the cake for a large party we were holding, I thought I should let you know the outcome! I made 4 cakes basically from your recipe, but . . . . . as I hadn’t fully checked the larder we were short on spices except nutmeg and cinnamon – so we had more of those! The fruit, including crystallised pineapple and papaya, was soaked in brandy for 2 days (what didn’t get nibbled was very succulent).
The end result was very popular and I spent a great deal of time wandering round the guests explaining about this wonderful way of cooking cakes-I’m sure your ears were burning! So thank you very much indeed for introducing me to them and I now have a lot of people to contact with your company details!!!!!!!!!!!!My next project is to try out my mother’s cherry and almond cake in the box.
Thank you again and happy baking
Yours in friendship Sue”
